At Irwillings, we take pride in crafting high-quality cricket bats using premium willow and cane, in compliance with the laws of the game. However, as natural materials, these elements will naturally experience wear and tear over time. Even with the best preparation, they cannot be made completely immune to the effects of poor-quality balls, mistimed shots, yorkers, excessive tapping, or general use.
Warranty Coverage
Our bats come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing and material defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by poor-quality balls, mistimed shots, yorkers, tapping, or normal wear and tear.
To make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase along with evidence of proper bat preparation before use. Poor preparation is one of the most common reasons for unsuccessful claims.
Warranty Claims and Repairs
If your bat qualifies for a warranty claim, we will either repair it free of charge or, if repairs are not viable, offer a replacement or a heavily discounted new bat. The decision will depend on the extent of the damage and the bat’s overall condition. Each bat is assessed carefully by our experienced staff and, in some cases, by the batmaker.
We are committed to excellent customer service and aim to handle all claims fairly and reasonably.
Returning a Bat for Assessment and Repair
If you need to send your bat back for a warranty claim, please complete our Bat Return Form – Warranty Claim and send it along with the bat to the address provided on the form.

Repairs within the 12-month warranty period are free of charge, but you may be responsible for return shipping costs.

Any additional repairs or servicing after the warranty period may incur a charge, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Returns Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all products, provided that the item has not been used and is returned in its original packaging, in new condition.

If you are returning an item due to damage or a defect, we will first inspect it to verify the claim. Faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, or general wear and tear are not covered. If your claim is valid, we will either replace the item or offer a full refund. We recommend using recorded delivery when returning goods.

If you ordered the wrong size or colour, or wish to return an item for any reason other than damage, fault, or incorrect delivery, you must do so within 14 days of receipt. However, return postage costs in such cases will not be refunded.
